Multiple input languages are included with Windows, you just need to add them to your list of languages before you can use them. It takes only one minute to add Korean Keyboard in Windows. Below you will find step-by-step guide to achieve it.

To add Korean Keyboard

Click the ‘Start button’, click ‘Control Panel’ and then click ‘Change keyboards or other input methods’ under ‘Clock, Language, and Region’. Click the ‘Keyboards and Languages’ tab, and then click ‘Change keyboards’. Under Installed services, click ‘Add’. Click ‘Korean’, click ‘Keyboard’, select ‘Microsoft IME’, and then click ‘OK’.

To use Korean Keyboard

Before you can change the input language to Korean, you need to make sure that the Korean language has been added. If you do not see the ‘Language bar’, right-click the taskbar, point to Toolbars, and then click ‘Language bar’. Click the Input language button ‘EN’ on the Language bar, and then select Korean. You can toggle between multiple keyboards by pressing ‘Alt+Shift’ at the same time. Click ‘A’ or ‘가’ to switch between English and Korean.

How to use Korean Keyboard

First, become familiar with the Korean alphabet. Learn where each letter is positioned on the keyboard and match the correct finger to the key as positioned. Focus on accuracy rather than speed. Learn to type accurately and only then improve your typing speed. Practice Korean typing exercises as often as you could and do not move on too quickly. The optimal schedule is to study typing for 15 to 30 minutes daily.

How to memorize Korean Keyboard Layout? Korean Keyboard Layout has no relation with the English keyboard layout at all. Consonants are on left, vowels on right. All the consonants are entered by the left hand; all the vowels (except ㅠ) are entered by the right hand. To type Korean double consonants (ㅃ, ㅉ, ㄸ, ㄲ, ㅆ) and Korean combined vowels (ㅒ, and ㅖ) shift key will be needed. Try to type your first Korean word. To type Kimchi in Korean, ‘김치’ press ‘ㄱ’ ‘ㅣ’ ‘ㅁ’ ‘ㅊ’ and ‘ㅣ’. The letters are automatically joined together to form the word. Press ‘Shift’ for the remaining letters.
